For those of you who are still wondering "Where did Manda disappear to after high school?" let me give you a brief summary.

I was very, VERY happy when I graduated from Evergreen High, but I was practically clueless as to what I would do next. So, I made a bold decision (for me at least) and I enlisted in the Army. I attended Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri from August to October of 1996. From there, I went to AIT (Advanced Individual Training) in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. My final destination was Fort Riley, Kansas.

I worked as a legal specialist for the 937th Engineering Group. I met my husband through work (he was actually on of my unofficial superiors). He and I began to hang out around March of 1997, began dating in July 1997 and became engaged very soon after that. We were married on February 11, 1998.

Once I discovered that I was pregnant, we made the dicision that I would work until the eigth month of the pregnancy, take an honorable discharge, get out of the Army and raise our baby. On August 11, 1998, we were blessed with a beautiful, wonderful, absolutely FABULOUS baby boy. We named him Conner Joseph Carlsson. I was free from the Army and able to be a full-time mom.

What is happening with her now?

Well, OTHER than chasing a crawling baby around (as if that weren't enough!), there are a few interesting things going on in my life. I should warn you... these things are of interest to me, but many of you may find them quite boring.

1. I am working on this web-site and I am actually deriving great pleasure out of pecking around on the keyboard.

2.I am also working on a cross-stitch project for my mother. I am not sure if I will ever finish it, though!

3.I have a small, but respectable collection of cook-books and I have been trying out various recipes.

4.Conner and I take lots of walks around the neighborhood! His stroller wheels have actually begun to wear down.

5.We are preparing for our move to Germany. This "preparing" consists of paperwork, elbow grease and pure frustration!!!
